Students in grades K-5 enjoy art classes on a weekly basis. Students in grades 6 – 8 experience art class in a 6-week Related Studies rotation. Students’ artwork is on display each spring during grade level Art and Academic nights as well as the Stevenson High School Art Show.
Students study the basic elements and principles of art through art production, art history, art criticism, and the aesthetics of art. Students work 2-dimensionally and 3-dimensionally with variety of mediums, tools, and styles. Students explore their own culture and learn to express it visually.
Fremont’s art program is also supplemented with parent led Art Awareness classes throughout the school year.
