Two Fremont Middle School bands participated in the Illinois Grade School Music Association state band contest in Grayslake recently. The seventh/eighth grade green and white bands both received a Division II rating at the state contest. This month, two Fremont Middle School jazz bands participated in the Illinois Grade School Music Association state jazz band contest in Homer. The Fremont Jazz Band I received a Division I rating and the Jazz Band III received a Division II rating.
“All the bands had outstanding performances,” said Brent Burger, band director.
