Fremont School District 79 and Mundelein School District 75 are entering into shared service agreements. Together, the districts have taken an active role to share a bilingual administrator to help with a variety of state mandated duties. In addition, District 79 will provide busing for some of District 75’s special education students. There has been discussion at the state level of school districts sharing services as a way to reduce expenses.The benefit for both districts is that each pays only for the level of service it needs.
Fremont has been taking an active role in seeking out shared services with neighboring school districts. These contracts with District 75 are Fremont’s first formal shared service agreements.
