  • The Fremont School District 79 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. The PTO coordinates fundraisers to provide programs and projects to benefit all the students who attend FSD79 schools.

Simply enter "Fremont PTO" in the search bar and you'll answer two questions to gain entry into the group. Yard Sign

  • Show your Fremont pride with a "Home Of a Wildcat" yard sign. Please email Christie Johnson at for a link to the electronic form, then send in $20 (cash or check made out to FSD79 PTO) to the Fremont Elementary School front office.

Box Tops Winners

  • Thank you to everyone who sent in Box Tops to help raise money for the PTO and a special thank you to all the volunteers that have been helping out! The individual winner of a $25 Visa gift card is Finn Rollinger. The class that won a pizza party is Ms Gust. Please continue to clip Box Tops and send them in. Family Bingo Night - April 5

  • Friday, April 5 from 6:30-8 p.m., head to the Intermediate School gym for an old-fashioned BINGO night! Held in conjunction with the Intermediate School Student Council, bring a food donation for the Fremont Township Food Pantry to receive a BINGO card. There will be snacks for sale, and additional BINGO cards are only 50 cents. This flyer has more information and a list of suggested donations for the food pantry. 

Cards for a Cause Boxes Have Arrived

  • If you ordered MORE than ONE card box, pick up time will be Tuesday March 19 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the ES office. If you ordered one box, they will be sent home with your child. If you are unable to pick up on Tuesday please let Bari Dacks at

Electronic Birthdays

  • Everyone in the Fremont School District 79 community can celebrate their child's special day! “Happy Birthday, Your Child’s Name” can appear on the Fremont School District 79 electronic message board on the district's campus on Fremont Center Road. Please fill out a birthday form, available in school offices, or email Christie Johnson at for an electronic form. Send in $5 per child for the birthday message (cash or check accepted) before the birthday is scheduled to appear.

Schwan's Food

  • The Fremont School District 79 PTO has set up a fundraising campaign through the Schwan's Cares program. A percentage of every order placed through the Schwan's Cares website will go back to the Fremont School District 79 PTO.

Committee Chairs

  • President: Stacie Brown, Stacie is in her third year on the PTO board and has been working hard on the Ways and Means committee as well as serving as the Elementary Vice President. She has a third grader, a first grader and a younger child at home.

    Lincoln Vice President: Janelle Martinez, This is Janelle's first year on the PTO board but has been active in her children's classrooms and volunteering at other PTO events. She has a sixth grader, a third grader, a preschooler and a younger child at home.

    Elementary Vice President: Sue Lee, Sue is in her third year on the PTO board and has been active in her children's classrooms and volunteering at the book fairs and other PTO events. She has a fourth grader, a second grader, a first grader and a younger child at home.

    Intermediate Vice President:  Jen Arroyo, Jen has been an active PTO member since her oldest child started preschool at Fremont School District 79. She is always willing to help wherever needed. Being an elementary school principal she has a great perspective. She has a third grader, a kindergartner and a younger child at home.

    Middle School Vice President: Sonja Kajohn, Sonja has been active in the PTO for many years and has a served as the Ways and Means and Box Top Chairs. Sonja has been an integral part in getting the school supply kits up and running.  She has a son in fifth grader and a daughter who is a sophomore at Mundelein High School this year.

    Secretary/Communications: Jen Knop, Jen is new to the PTO board, but not to the PTO. She dove into communications when her oldest child started at Fremont and has been involved ever since; also helping out with book fairs, in the classrooms, or wherever needed. She has a fourth grader, a second grader and a younger child at home.

    Treasurer: Christie Johnson, Christie has been an active PTO member for many years and has volunteered on many of the different PTO committees. She has two eighth graders and a fifth grader. Christie works at the elementary school.
