  •  Intramurals consist of the following sports at Fremont Intermediate School:

    • Fifth Grade Volleyball (Sept - Nov)
    • Fifth Grade Basketball (Jan - Apr)
    • Fourth Grade Basketball (Nov - Jan)
    • Fourth/Fifth Grade Cross-Country (Apr - May)

About Intramurals

  • The purpose of the intramural program is to expose students to be involved in extracurricular activities that promote coordination, fitness, healthy lifestyles, and positive social interactions with other students. These activities are available to both boys and girls. Please check back for the activities that will be starting throughout the school year.

Volleyball

5th Grade

  • The purpose of this intramural program is to provide Fremont's 5th grade girls and boys with quality instruction for the development of volleyball skills and the opportunity to utilize those skills in game situations. This program is offered to any 5th grade girl or boy who shows an interest in playing volleyball.

    Participants in this program should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for playing volleyball (shorts and t-shirt). Participants may wear knee-pads, but it is not required. All other volleyball equipment will be provided. 

    There will be 3 sessions of Volleyball available with different dates. Please only register for only one session. If you register for multiple sessions you will be removed from one of them. Please make sure that your child is available to be there for the dates listed. If your child is unable to attend those dates please do not register and take another person's spot. Each practice will be before school from 8-8:45am. 

    There will be a limit of 20 spots available per session. Volleyball will be a Co-Ed activity. After that the session will be closed. The cost of the intramural is $25 per participant. This fee will be added to your teacherease account within 3 days of registration.

Basketball

4th Grade

  • The purpose of this intramural program is to provide Fremont's 4th grade girls and boys with quality instruction for the development of basketball skills and the opportunity to utilize those skills in full court basketball games. This program is offered to any girl or boy who shows an interest in playing basketball. Participants in this program should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for playing basketball (shorts and t-shirt). Basketballs will be provided.

    All practices will be before school from 8-8:45am on school days between the dates listed below. Students should not be dropped off before 7:55am. If you would like to take the early middle school bus please contact transportation at x5100 for information.

    There will be 4 sessions of Basketball. There will be a maximum of 24 students per session and there are designated sessions for boys and girls. After that the session will be closed. Please register for only one session. If you register for multiple sessions you will be removed from one of them. Please make sure that your child is available to be there for the dates listed. If your child is unable to attend those dates please do not register and take another person's spot. 

     

    Online registration is available by clicking REGISTRATION.

    The cost of the intramural is $25 per participant. This fee will be added to your teacherease account within 3 days of registration.

4th Basketball Schedule 2021-2022

5th Grade

  • 5th Grade Intramural Basketball

    The purpose of this intramural program is to provide Fremont's 5th grade girls and boys with quality instruction for the development of basketball skills and the opportunity to utilize those skills in full court basketball games. Cross Country

4th/5th Grade

  • Intramural cross-country will begin Tuesday, May 2nd,  2019. The purpose of this intramural program is to provide Fremont School’s 4th and 5th grade girls/boys with quality understanding of distance running, setting a pace, and accomplishing personal goals. This program is offered to any Fremont 4th and 5th grade girls/boys who like to run for exercise and fun.  

     

    Participants in this program should wear appropriate clothing for running outside or inside depending on the weather (sweatpants, shorts, t-shirt, long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and running shoes). I recommend bringing a water bottle to be used outside only and used appropriately, and extra socks and shoes (it will be wet out).  

     

    Sessions will run from May 2nd through June 6th. All practices will be before school from 8-8:45am. Participants can ride the early middle school bus or be brought in by a parent/guardian. Students should not be dropped off before 7:55am. If your child is involved in band or choir there may be a conflict and they will have to decide which activity to attend. The cost is $25.00 per participant. The fee must be paid before the first practice.

     

    There will be an optional 5K (3.1 mile) race to sign up for and run with Mr. Sciutto. This is an event that will be an opportunity to compete in a race with other students and a community. There will be an additional fee for the race. We had several students participate and enjoy the race last year. More information and specific race details will be shared at a later date.

    Once the registration is complete please submit the $25 payment through Teacherease or by sending in a check made out to Fremont Intermediate School. Please allow a couple of days for the fee to be added to Teacherease.
