Long-Range Facility Planning
Fremont School District 79 is uniquely positioned in Lake County given the opportunity for growth. We are very proud of the culture that we have developed in making our District a destination for families.
The District is embarking on the development of an education-based, 10-year Educational Long-range Facility Plan (ELFP) that encompasses enrollment forecasting, facility and systems assessments, grounds, traffic management, as well as other community-based considerations. This extensive process will take approximately one year to complete. A variety of stakeholders will have a voice to provide feedback and direction.
FSD79 has assembled a community-based Steering Committee that is meeting monthly to make intermediate determinations and provide input to the District's architectural firm, DLR Group. Representing members with diverse experience and roles, the Steering Committee consists of Central Office administrators, board members, principals, teachers, parents, and community members.
The Steering Committee is scheduled to meet on the following dates: January 22, February 28, March 21, April 29, May 29, June TBD
