Daily Bus Procedures
To ensure the safety and efficiency of bus transportation, we ask all students to adhere to the following procedures:
-
Arrival at the Bus Stop: Please arrive at your designated bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Buses may run up to 10 minutes early or late due to traffic, accidents, or other commuter-related events.
-
Assigned Seating: Students must sit in their assigned seats both on the way to and from school. This helps maintain order and ensures student safety.
-
Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to follow all bus rules and behavior guidelines while on the bus.
-
Avoid The Danger Zone:
a. Exiting the Bus: Upon reaching your assigned stop, exit the bus promptly and move as far away from the vehicle as possible.
b. Crossing in Front of the Bus: If you need to cross the street in front of the bus, exit, walk beyond the crossing gate, and wait for a signal from the driver. Once the driver signals it is safe, cross quickly in front of the bus.
c. Walking Near the Bus: Never walk alongside the bus. The driver may not be able to see you from that position, which can be dangerous.
Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth bus experience for everyone.
