Daily Bus Procedures
Before beginning their route, drivers do a routine inspection of their bus to ensure equipment is working properly.
At the end of every route, under state law, drivers are expected to walk the aisle to make sure children have departed the bus safely.
Drivers are expected to stop at all bus locations regardless of whether a child is visible. If drivers arrive at the stop on time they may continue their route if no students are present.
Elementary school children must be met by a parent or the driver must be assured the child can enter the home.
Children who cross the street must wait for the driver's signal to safely cross the street.
