  • The Fremont School District 79 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. The PTO coordinates fundraisers to provide programs and projects to benefit all the students who attend FSD79 schools.

Simply enter "Fremont PTO" in the search bar and you'll answer two questions to gain entry into the group. Yard Sign

  • Show your Fremont pride with a "Home Of a Wildcat" yard sign. Please email Christie Johnson at for a link to the electronic form, then send in $20 (check made out to FSD79 PTO) to the Fremont Elementary School front office.

Electronic Birthdays

  • Even though we are currently eLearning, we can still celebrate your Fremont Student’s special day! “Happy Birthday, Your Child’s Name” can appear on the Fremont Electronic Message Board. EVA Award Winners

  • Congratulations and thank you to all three of this year's recipients of the Excellence in Volunteering Award (EVA), Kim Hansen, Leann Zanardo, and Tammie Trahan. All three of these wonderful women have volunteered with the PTO for many years as their children have gone through the Fremont schools.  Their efforts and commitment will be missed!

PTO Meeting Dates

Committee Chairs

  • President: Stacie Brown, Stacie is in her fifth year on the PTO board and in her third year as President. She has been working hard on the Ways and Means committee, volunteering at PTO events as well as serving as the Elementary Vice President. She has a fifth grader, a third grader and a kindergartner. 

    Lincoln Vice President: Janelle Martinez, This is Janelle's third year on the PTO board but has been active in her children's classrooms and volunteering at other PTO events. She has an eighth grader, a fifth grader, a first grader and a preschooler. 
    Elementary School Vice President: Sue Lee, Sue is in her fifth year on the PTO board and has been active in her children's classrooms and volunteering at the book fairs and other PTO events. She has a sixth grader, a fourth grader, a third grader, and a kindergartner.  
    Intermediate School Vice President:  Jen Arroyo, Jen is in her eighth year serving on the PTO. She is always willing to help wherever needed. Being an elementary school principal she has a great perspective. She has a fifth grader, a second grader, and a younger child at home.  
    Middle School Vice President: Kristie Paul, Kristie has been active in the PTO for many years and has served as the President, Treasurer and on many committees. She has a son who is a senior at Illinois State University, a daughter who is a sophomore at the University of Missouri, a daughter who is a sophomore at Mundelein High School and a daughter who is in 7th grade. Kristie also works at the Middle School.  
    Treasurer: Christie Johnson, Christie has been an active PTO member for many years and has volunteered on many of the different PTO committees. She has a seventh grader and two sophomores at Mundelein High School. Christie works at the elementary school.  
    Secretary: Jennifer Knop, This is Jennifer’s third year on the PTO board, but she has been involved with the PTO since her oldest child started at Fremont. Jennifer has a sixth grader, a fourth grader and a younger child at home.
