Families New to the District

1. Complete the Online Pre-Registration Form
(Kindergarten registration is now open; see our Kindergarten Enrollment page for more information)
This gathers essential details we need before moving forward.

2. Confirm Residency
Your address will be verified that it falls within school district boundaries.

3. Finalize in TeacherEase Parent Portal
After pre-registration is accepted, you will receive an email with instructions to schedule an in-person appointment and complete registration through TeacherEase. You will need to bring your child’s original birth certificate and your photo ID to the appointment. Additionally, residency documents will be required at the time of the appointment. 

4. Pay Fees and Submit Health Forms (after registration is complete)
Once fees are applied, they can be viewed in your TeacherEase account. Health forms are required by Illinois law and must be submitted within 30 days of enrollment.

Returning Students

Returning families can register directly through the TeacherEase Parent Portal beginning on April 1, 2026. Complete all required pages before May 1 to ensure your teacher assignment and bus route is available before the first day of the new school year.

New Students

1. Complete the Registration Form
Once the online registration form is completed, you will receive an email from registration@fsd79.org with instructions to complete your registration.

2. Schedule an Appointment
At this appointment, you will need to bring your child’s original birth certificate and your photo ID in addition to the documents listed in the email.

3. Pay Registration Fees
Once fees are applied, they can be viewed in your TeacherEase account.
