FSD79 Honored for Communications Excellence

Fremont School District 79’s communication efforts have again received national recognition from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).

NSPRA’s 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding tactical materials such as publications, newsletters, videos, podcasts, websites, social media, and more. FSD79 was recently bestowed the top honor—Award of Excellence—in three categories. The District earned the recognition in the Newsletter, Photo, and Video categories. 

In the Newsletter category, FSD79 was honored for the Fremont Digest newsletter, which is mailed out to all households within District boundaries twice per year. 

Fremont earned the top award in the Photo category for an image entitled “First Day of School,” which captures three hand-in-hand kindergarten students heading off to their first day of classes at Fremont Elementary School.

The District’s recruitment and retention video, “Join the Fremont School District 79 Team,” also was honored, highlighting FSD79’s staff culture and supports in place to assist all employees.

“Receiving this honor from NSPRA validates our ongoing commitment to open, transparent, and engaging communication,” said FSD79 Director of Public Relations Nick Brilowski. “We are proud to tell the Fremont story, and we will continue to innovate how we connect with our stakeholders to best support our students, families, and staff.”
