FSD79 Named Recipient of Chicago Tribune Top Workplaces 2023 Award
Nick Brilowski

MUNDELEIN, Ill. — Fremont School District 79 has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2023 honor by Chicago Tribune Top Workplaces. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

"We are fortunate to have an amazing team of teachers and staff members who are committed to doing whatever they can to provide our students with an outstanding educational experience,” said Fremont School District 79 Superintendent of Schools Dr. Trisha Kocanda. “We are grateful for this honor as we believe it embodies the caring atmosphere that we have worked so hard to establish, while aligning with our strategic goal area of a Safe, Healthy & Connected Culture.”

"Whether it be through engagement opportunities such as wellness offerings, engaging in two-way communication, or providing the chance for professional growth and advancement, we greatly value our entire Fremont team and all they have to offer.”

"Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

FSD79 was the only school district to earn the distinction this year. For a complete list of recipients, click here.
