NSPRA Honors Fremont For Communications Efforts
Fremont School District 79

Fremont School District 79’s communication efforts have received national recognition from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).

NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding tactical materials such as publications, newsletters, videos, podcasts, websites, social media and more.

FSD79 was recently recognized with the top honor—Award of Excellence—in three categories at this year’s national conference in Bellevue, Washington. The District earned the recognition in the Newsletter, Photo, and Website categories.

In the Newsletter category, FSD79 was honored for the Fremont Digest newsletter, which is mailed out to all households within District boundaries twice per year.

Fremont earned the top honor in the Photo category for an image of a severe weather demonstration assembly at Fremont Intermediate School. The photo features amazed students during a demonstration replicating a storm cloud.

The District’s website (fsd79.org) was honored as well. Recently redesigned in partnership with host Finalsite in time for the start of the 2023-2024 school year, the website was developed to improve ease of navigation, clarity, and transparency for viewers.

Fremont was additionally recognized with the Award of Merit in the Video Series category for its Fremont Feature series, which provides a behind-the-scenes look at the District’s strategic work.

"We are greatly honored to be recognized for our communications efforts by NSPRA,” said FSD79 Director of Public Relations Nick Brilowski. “As a District, we are fully committed to telling the story of our District and communicating to all of our stakeholders clearly, regularly, and transparently. In collaboration with our strategic plan, we look forward to continue making communications a top priority.”
