Fremont Middle School is well represented on the list of students accepted to the 2020 Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 7 Honors Band and Honors Jazz Bands. ILMEA District 7 encompases all of Lake County, northern Cook County, and eastern McHenry County.

In October, students submitted video auditions to the organization for inclusion in the annual festivals that are held virtually this year on November 14.

"While this year’s event is all virtual, it will undoubtedly be worthwhile and inspiring," said Fremont Middle School Band Director Brent Burger. "I am very proud of the hard work and dedication from these students to their instruments and to the Fremont Band program. These students will represent the Fremont community and the Fremont Band program very well."
