Warming the Homeless

kindness Fremont Elementary School second-graders helped make fleece blankets that will be shared with the Lake County homeless to help keep them warm. A local PADS (Providing Advocacy, Dignity & Shelter) site will receive the 52 blankets students created.  The children’s blankets are offered to any of the guests who might need an extra blanket to keep them warm this winter.

Lake County PADS sites offer emergency overnight housing. In 2016, there were 1,817 people who received housing; 36 percent of the clients were children.
