Shining Artists

More than 250 pieces of artwork were on display by FSD79 students at the Mundelein All-Area Art Show and the Stevenson High School Consortium Art Festival .

All forms of artistic expression were on display by students in grades kindergarten through high school during the art shows. Paintings, sculpture, pencil, oil pastel, and chalk pastel were just some of the pieces viewed by artists and their families.

“Art demonstrates high quality, control of medium and creativity. Receiving feedback for your artwork is important for growth. Experiencing other creative processes as well cultivates inspiration. Sharing art can be transformative to our society,” shared Art Teacher Lindsey Miska.
